An M & J Ballantyne Ltd led development to convert the Grade B listed, Art Deco styled former High School into much need extra care facilities for the over 60’s. Consisting of 34nr one bedroom flats, 2nr two bedroom flats plus associated communal and support facilities.

Duration on site: 18 months

Works include:

Fabric upgrade to enhance insulation standards

Window replacement to original fenestration and now double glazing

Replace existing roughcast with new silicone enhanced roughcast

Complete re-roofing including thermal upgrade

Installation of two passenger lifts

Extensive sound reduction measures installed

Catering kitchen and servery fit out

New plumbing, electrical, IT, security, heating, WiFi and assistance call systems

Sprinkler installation, advanced fire separation and detection systems throughout

Complete new underground drainage system

New car parks, adoptable standard roads and high quality landscaping
