Formation of a new whisky distillery at Grahamslaw Farm near Kelso, utilising existing farm buildings where feasible. These farm buildings once formed part of one of the largest pig farms in Europe.
Our works include the conversion and conservation of traditional stone farm steadings with timber and slate roofs. Rebuilding areas using reclaimed stone, replacing existing roofs using traditional hand cut methods, repointing stone walls with lime mortar. New concrete floors throughout to withstand the loads imposed by distillery equipment.
Two new steel framed buildings to house the steam boiler and the all important copper whisky stills.
Repair and upgrading to the underground drainage systems and civil engineering requirements for the whisky making process.
We are working alongside the same design team as The Borders Distillery where collaboration is key to the successful delivery.
